In regards to dual sun visors - My '03 bottom-of-the-range Saab 9-5 has them and I miss them in the D4.
Yes, I love how a cooled console won the argument, but I have a Waeco sitting where my driver's side 2nd row seat normally are, which fits much much more than any LC200 console can.

Frustrate the hell out of me with these stupidly unfair comparisons. $20k price difference, what a joke..... Should have factored in for that $20k you can get a brand new Hyundai for around town AND the Disco. And the land cruiser has to keep up with the practicality of BOTH. Which would be impossible.

Also - the Patrol tested is Nissan's flagship model, the LC200 was Toyota's flagship, so why not put them up against the D4 HSE, or better yet RRV?
Toyota seem to spend more money on advertising instead of R&D - why actually be better at something when you can just pay people to say you are?

The entry level disco is still better than the top of the line for each of the other.

Better build, better materials, better design, more space, much much more thought (though they did credit that) better ergonomics, better service schedules, better finish everywhere, better suspension, a thud when the door closes.....we could go on and on.

Yes, but if a cooled console wins the contest, and the rear locker on the Patrol was favorably mentioned, at least option the D4 up with those!

Like AnD3rew, I watch a few of his shows when I get the chance, 'cause he often goes to some interesting places that I've either been to or would like to....

However every recommendation he makes I treat the same as pop up ads on web pages and if I'm looking for real reviews or comparisons - I look elsewhere.

These guys dropped their boat into "Sea Jay Boats" in Bundy last month when I was working there and they where dragging it around with a black Jeep ATT.

Yeah. I know, it's all to be expected. They've got to fund their lives and that's fair enough. I just wish they did an article on the Sahara By itself. It's a nice enough car to pick the kids up and they could have just gone with wild speculation about it being better without a direct comparison.

Last week I sent an email to the editor, Sam Purcell, regarding the rubbishness of the article. He replied saying that he would forward it to the relevant party and after that I've had nothing back. I'm not actually surprised.

I think Sam is a Defender driver so hello Sam if you are playing along at home.
