    Repaired D4

Just got my 2010 2.7l D4 back from the paint & panel shop. I unfortunately cleaned up a few Roo's in mid western QLD recently and needed a new bullbar and some panel repairs on the passenger side doors (2 of the 3 Roo's followed the 1st Kamakazi into the side of the car).

Insurance looked after it all and I am very pleased with the end result and only have praise for ECB (East Coast Bullbars) and their quality products.

    Good looking vehicle aren't they

Just waiting for the light bar to arrive now......

Great feeling to have it all back good as new.
How much damage to the bar? What time of day was it?

Yes great to get it back looking so "clean". Bar so was badly bent that I haven't been able to open the bonnet for over 5 weeks!

Both wheel arch flares were damaged, light bar totalled and rear passenger door pushed in.

Happened around dusk about 50K's south of Cleremont where we were aiming to stop the night.

SWMBO was concentrating on her iPad so missed the actual impact but was shocked at the ferocity of the hit.

Final insult to the crash-test-dummy-roo was that after striking the bullbar (Roo-bar!) - he rolled underneath the car and then had the trailer I was towing run over him as well.......

I live in the Daintree now so the ECB had to be ordered, manufactured and then after taking over a week to make its way north, the whole job from quote to completion took 8 weeks.

A plug for Top-End Paint & Panel in Mossman who did such a great job on the car!

I'll dig up the 'before' pics....crazy how much energy the bar took and how bent it was without transferring any of that impact energy into the engine bay or passenger cell!
