No - I was recently given an assortment of LED lights by a friend. Not sure where he got them from.
    Cheers .........

Well it's good to hear that some of the cheaper eBay ones are ok.
I went with more expensive ones from hids4u.co.uk based on earlier threads and info on Disco3.

I got two different brands, Cree and Twenty20.
501 Can-bus Super Bright 360 Degree 3 Cree LED bulbs
    501 Can-bus Super Bright 180 Degree 6 LED bulbs

Just recently fitted and as others have said, the crisp white light is excellent but there's a couple of things I didn't realise.

The Twenty20 ones I ordered have the LEDs on one side only. It's not very obvious on the website and only mentioned in the page title, which is easy to miss. This type is good for the rear cargo, 3rd row lights and doors where you only need light projected in one direction. But not great for the 1st row and 2nd row, which have reflectors around the bulb and are therefore better with multi-directional bulbs.

You can see below how much better the LED is compared to the factory bulbs but also how the LED is one-sided.

Taken in daylight. I'll be changing the centre one to the other type.

Also, the Cree ones are claimed to be the best quality etc but only have 3 actual LEDs on each unit.
So the light is projected in all directions but appears to be a tiny bit less output than the other ones. Still impressive though.

I'm going to get two red ones for the front map lights as recommended here and I still need to do the front doors yet. Will have a look at eBay this time.

    Thanks scott.

Not sure how long the cheapy ones will last but all of mine are still working. You could compare them

Let me know how you go with the red ones, im not sold on if i will go that way but if its only a few bucks ill try it out.

    Cheers

    Hey guys,

I bought a set of the error free ones that were in the original post from ebay : Error Free White 12 Light LED Interior KIT FOR Land Rover Range Rover Evoque | eBay

I can't for the life of me get any of them to work in the car, I install them and get nothing, put the originals back in and everythings fine. Am I missing something?

Did you try flipping them 180 degrees?

Edit : Yup you were right Rich, I somehow managed to install three in different locations all back to front, I couldn't do it again if I tried.

Though a quirk of the front doorwell lights is you need to close and open the door again to reset the circuit it seems.

Great little simple upgrade, love it.

I had the same problem with mine, I thought I had some duds and then I figured out they only work one way around.

I got all of the interior lights swapped over and working fine....except one of the puddle lights - that one will just not work unless the original bulb is in there! Resets and stuff just didn't work. I guess something to do with the cars circuits needing a minimum resistance .... Bit like our old friend, the led trailer light scenario!!
