    I have the 6x5630 units in all my doors and they work fine.
    501 Can-bus Super Bright 180 Degree 6 LED bulbs

    These ones are from hids4u.co.uk and were relatively expensive.

    But before that I had cheap eBay ones in the doors and they were ok too.
    Shifted to the foot wells due to being a bit blue.
    The eBay ones can be a bit hit-and-miss.

    No, not wasted... Not wasted at all... The front Puddle lights are MOSFET controlled and need the extra current draw to function.

    You may well be in luck with 5630s...

    I have 35c LED lights for the front puddles and they work fine...

    Umm newbie question. I've recently bought a MY16.5 tdv6 and noticed that there are no logo puddle lamps? Are they only on the higher spec models or have they stopped doing them??

    They're an aftermarket item you can buy off ebay and fit yourself

    Thanks Dan. There appears to be puddle lamps for under the door/ under the wing mirrors. Which models have the under mirror lights as my tdv6 only has the under door puddle lamps? Is is a straight forward swap of the bulbs under the doors?

    Okay so I've just ordered these for under the front doors:

    2X LED Door Courtesy Light Lamp FOR Land Rover Range Discovery Evoque Freelander | eBay

    Apparently they're a plug and play. Am I likely to have any codes/faults flagged when changing the existing to LED?

    Just put one of the 6SMD 5650 globes in the drivers puddle lamp. Here's a photo of the new puddle lamp vs the cheap LED globes, which are already brighter than standard.
