SupporterDoes anyone know the main differences between the UK and Australian D4? DPF, fuel heater etc
I'm thinking of taking my Australian D4 over to UK but don't know if it will pass emissions test for an MOT without a DPF?and wondered if they build the Australian vehicles differently for the hot climate?
Thanks
As a start I'm pretty sure that the UK version would have a fuel burning heater, as well as at least heated seats. Comfy for those cold mornings.

Funnily enough I'm trying to work out whether to take our D4 to Melbourne when we move from the UK later this year. The variable exchange rate is making it tricky to decide.
Certainly all UK models have fuel burning heaters. There have been 3 main trim levels, GS, XS and HSE. GS generally have cloth seats, no cruise, no heated seats or steering wheel, no sat nav. XS adds leather, sat nav and one or two other items and HSE is the top level with more gadgets than you could swing a cat at. There were a few 2.7l around 2009/10 but since then all 3.0l. We (the UK) have had a 245bhp 3.0l TDV6 and a 255bhp 3.0l SDV6 but not the recent Aussie lower powered TDV6.
We personally have a GS with leather, harmonn kardon sound, heated front screen etc which certainly has all that we require. Ours is 2010 which doesn't have DPF so I don't think that you not having one should effect your mot. Having said that there are plenty on the road over here so you should be spoilt for choice if you decide to buy rather than bring your own.

SupporterGo without DPF, this device is an emissions pita.
