Last time we came back from Moreton, just as we hit the mainland, there was a massive storm,it flooded all the roads. No need to wash the car. There wasn't a grain of sand under it by the time we got home.

I gave my D4 a good wash underneath after our Horrocks Beach fishing trip.
Putting it in emergency height using a axle stand was great.
Lots of good holes in the chassis rails to flood with the hose.Much easier than cleaning under the D2 wich I also cleaned well underneath after beach and mud runs.
    The lawn loves it

Good question and it probably stems back to peace of mind in maintaining a $100K investment as well as possible. A small Pre-wash is recommended to apply some protection in the nooks and crannies where salt can get in and it would, in theory(sales pitch), be easier to wash out !

The efficiency of these things is dependent on how / where you mount them.

Apparently, if you bolt one in right next to your HiClone - they work well.

    Thanks all for the assistance.

I put it back on the dealer about the Land Rover 6 Year Corrosion Warranty. Anyway they (supposedly) spoke to Land Rover AU and the position is this.

The corrosion warranty is voided if any corrosion is caused on any part of the painted surface of the car that has been chipped by sand, stones or banches as well as any modifications made that resulted in exposed metal.

So... in essence, if you get rust and they can find a hole in the paintwork and nominate it as the point of origin the warranty will basically be questioned (There words not mine)

Looks like I will be getting addition corrosion protection next week. just need to decide if its old fashioned or both!

I won't go near one, apparently they don't do your business any favours, particularly if you are involved with GMH.
