Ask about the dealer staff drive cars also - they change them over with low k's and discount heavily

Yep two of my last three cars were JLR "company" cars 12 months old with <10,000kms and many thousands of $ off the new price and well specced.

Thanks all for your input, it is much appreciated! Might be waiting a little longer now as the employment situation has recently become sketchy!....

It's been covered by others but I've purchased 2 D4s over the years and always found specced up cars at a lot cheaper than the sticker price.

I created a list of model/colours (inside and out) and desired options. I then rang every dealer in QLD to see what they had in stock. I then created lists of cars that I was interested in and then started playing the dealers off .... they always ring back ;-). First was an optioned up D4 SE, ex demo with less than 3000Ks on the clock. It was around 15K under the sticker price. I also got them to supply tint, mats, mud flaps, tow kit and transportation. Newest one was a never registered run out model with options. It was even cheaper than the first one .... 4.5 years later. Same extras of tint, etc thrown in.

Main event works too, as the factory subsidises the Dealer.

My first D4 was a 2009 build (read new model). I had quite a few issues. Whereas I've had none with the MY13 that I have. I'd be inclined to wait for D5 to get a few runs on the board before I buy one.

Sorry to hear about your work issues.

    Cheers.
