    Rock Sliders - Sydney

    Hey Guys

I have seen a few posts on Rock Sliders, looks like a member Brad, also Gordon from GOE makes sets but due to the weight I'm assuming they will be pretty expensive when you include shipping to Sydney.

Does anyone know if they make good ones in Sydney? and how much?

I love the look of the ones Guppy has on his D4, I assume these are wide ones? any idea if they are the 60mm or 100mm style?
GOE sells both, my car will primarily be used in Sydney with 20" wheels and I have 18" wheels at the ready but don't want the bars to look too out of place in the city while the 20" wheels are on.

any advice would be great, thanks

I like these two.. (based on looks)

More cross bars looks better (i believe GOE only uses 3, this has 4 or 5), looks 'slightly less' after market.

Thanks David, I'm not a fan of the look in the car above, they must be the wise ones?!

I've check the prices as follows:

    ATP - Ben - Brisbane - $920 plus postage ($110 to Sydney)
    GOE - Gordon - Perth - $1100 plus postage ($62 to Sydney)
    Metifit - Brad - Brisbane - $600 plus postage ($80 to Sydney)

I like the lesser profile look so just reviewing some pics and if Brads are like that I will make my purchase

    Update:

I received my sliders from Brad today - $680 delivered from Brisbane to sydney. It took me about two hours to fit them both.

As I'm quite picky in this regard I was worried about the looks of the car while I have 20" wheels fitted but actually they don't look out of place at all, in fact I quite like the added style!

    Two things to note:

    1) Yes, it took minor (easy) cutting of a small portion of the front lower sill.
    2) I can see how if they were muddy it would get on the back of your pants as you get out of the car. as I often wear a suit I may have to adapt to how I exit the car if it is dirty.

I haven't used them offroad as yet but I feel confident.

    Happy days!

It's a mixed bag tyre wise, I bought these wheels off eBay for $800 recently and they came with all different tyres. The size is 255/55/20

I have a send set of 18" wheel for off-roading, I even bought a trolley jack and a $99 rattle gun off eBay to make life easier when swapping them over!

Be careful with insurance and rego Luke, it's actually illegal to have different tread patterns across the vehicle.
