    Rear cup holder removal

Anyone been able to Remove the rear cup holder from the rear console. Must be a trick to it somehow.

Looks like a good place to mount a UHF radio module.

I considered doing that but in the end went with under the passenger seat.
The image below is from the WSM, showing two tabs to push down.

The part number is FJI500032PVJ, google for photos, eg

Could you mount it in the space under the air vents? That's normally where all the inputs for the rear seat entertainment go so if you don't have that perhaps it's an option? Not too sure how deep it would be though?

Thx Scott. I assume you had to remove the passenger seat to do this?

You can get decent access to that area just by raising the seat to maximum height and sliding it forward. Shouldn't need to remove seat.

There's a nice bracket under there, used for surround camera system (when you have one).

Why not mount the RF unit under the front passenger seat. If you remove the current empty bracket and fit it with a new bracket, you have a great secure point.

Access is by forwarding the seat.

My install is perfect in that position.
