						G'day all,
I have a 2013 3L 8 speed
Looking to keep it in top condition despite my wife's efforts in knocking over concrete barricades and steel poles
I have started doing:
Oil change every 5,000
Oil filter every 10,000
Fuel filter every10,000
I would like to know what every one dose as far as the rest for the drive line
I think i should do the
Diff gearbox and transfer every 50,000
Coolant every 100,000 or 5 years
wondering what fluid everyone had been using for the 8 speed box ? diffs and transfer apparently its not the same as the 6 speed ... no locking rear diff

I have the oil and filter changed every 6 months but I drive mostly short 5 to 10 km trips and this would be regarded as harsh driving so I'm being cautious. Just had the 30 month service (called a health check) done and was informed that the brake fluid would be changed at the 36 month service. I do time services as I have only done 17,100 km since new 30 months ago.

Since buying my D4 in 2011 I have carried out servicing as follows:
Oil & Filter every 13,000km i.e. half the recommended km's.
Fuel filter as per schedule - depends where I have been buying fuel.
Transmission - changed out the fluid and filter along with conversion to steel pan at 80,000km regular checks of fluid and now due another total fluid change.
Tyre's - check condition and rotate at 10,000km intervals.
All other items at schedule or on condition.
If I reckon anything is not as it should be I usually consult my local Land Rover service agent. They will check it out and if there is an issue that warrants further investigation I usually have it looked at.
The vehicle is now approaching 169,000km and is still a great drive.

IMHO....
Doing 5000km oil changes isnt needed, you can quite safely move this to 10,000km, so...
Every 10,000km:
Engine oil.
Oil filter.
Air filter.
Fuel filter.
Every 50,000km:
Front & rear diff fluid.
Transfer case fluid.
First 100,000km:
Auto service.
Every 2 years regardless of kms:
Flush brake fluid.
Change coolant.
ZF 8HP auto transmissions ONLY ever use the correct ZF Lifeguard 8 fluid.
I do the above service schedule on both new and used customers Land Rovers and believe this is a better service schedule than what is laid out by the manufacturer.
