    New D4 steering noise

Looking for some help. Have a MY16 D4 with 3500km on clock. Today I noticed a noise in the steering column. Sounds like a servo motor when you turn wheel. Happens in both directions.

Wife mentioned she felt a graininess as well but have not felt that again.

Very odd and not happy given new car and hoping someone has had a similar experience and can provide some insight

Will have back to dealer in a couple of weeks so will get them to look at it as well.

    Cheers

Have you pair checked the power steer oil???
If low it can cause the system to be noisy.

Have not checked the fluid as yet but servo noise is coming from the steering wheel/column inside the car not from drive train.

You would have to hope the levels would be right on a car with 3500 km on the clock. If not back to the dealer and either new one or complete replacement of the component.

There were some earlier models that had trouble with the steering column. Mine went back to the dealer 3 times and they finally found some sort of cable rubbing on the column. That was after replacing lots of steering column bits.

Are you in "Access Mode" by any chance when you hear/feel the noise?
