The Land Rover ones are really good for front and middle rows. Not sure if you can also get it for 3rd row.

Okay so the OEM carpet mats were thrown in with the sale. I've come to the conclusion that carpet mats are dirt traps and was wondering what everyone recommends as good rubber mats? I'd like them to cover as much of the floor as possible including over the slight floor hump in the middle row, around the sides of the middle row towards the third row and finally in the third row footwells.
Options / opinions most appreciated!

I've had these for about 18 months but have just worn a hole through under my heel on driver's mat. Land Rover Discovery 4 09 15 Black Rubber CAR Interior Floor Mats RHD | eBay
Fit in the front was good but given I'm not in the car that much I'm disappointed at them wearing through. They don't cover the hump in the 2nd row either.
Based on recommendations here I just ordered LR mats for first and 2nd rows. They have pretty good coverage of the hump in 2nd row. Part #VPLAS0252
For third row the part # is EAH500100PMA
There was a mention of Sandgrabba mats being very good and becoming available too but I don't think they're available yet.

I've got the rubber LR mats in my D3, front and middle row (didn't bother with the 3rd row), and they are excellent quality and fit as you would hope.
I had the genuine rubber mats for 5 years, they cover the carpet completely across the second row and I had no issues with wearing through on the heel area of the right foot. The vehicle covered 170,000 km in that time so they had plenty of use. They have reasonably deep square sections to trap dirt and water to help prevent runoff from the edges on to the carpet.
The only improvement I would like to see them make would be to the drivers side mat so as to have it also cover the left foot rest so that it could catch more of the crap that falls off the left boot.
Cheers,
Sean

I have the genuine rubber mats too and agree with comments above. Only improvement I would like is more coverage towards the seat for the front row ones. There is some exposed carpet but feet don't go there very often.

Thanks for your input all. Looks like LR mats are the go then. What should i expect to pay for them? Also what does the boot liner go for?
Cheers.
Not that this is much of a benchmark....but I got my mats (new) and boot liner (used) on Gumtree.
$50 for the mats, and $20 for the boot liner.
I can not remember what I paid back in 09 but I do recall they weren't cheap BUT,
The proper L/R ones are pretty good, the second & third row covers most bits & there is even a little rubber extension that sits where people climbing into the third row put their foot.
I don't have a cargo mat, some old towels & blankets do OK & are easy to tuck away when all 7 seats are up.

BTW after 7 years of hard use I have a small tear in the middle row mats.
I paid $520 two years ago for the mats (front & 2nd row) plus boot liner, which was $220 of the total cost. And the boot liner is very good. Purchased from dealer.
