You need to clean and polish first and then apply the clear seal.

Nice one! You'll love it. 12-18month protection vs. the 3 months a natural wax will give.

I bought the pack that came with their polish and 2 applicator pads but It wasn't really suited to the paint condition of mine at high kms it needed a deeper polish. Theirs would be more suited to a scratchless car with minimal defects. I always use Auto Glym Super Resin Polish, have had great results every time.

I also ran a clay bar over mine and it turned the clay black after a wash, worst i've ever had so if you;ve got the time i'd do this Andy.

    Wash car(Don't bother drying)

Buy a clay bar pack, mine is Mothers as is comes with 2 bars in case you drop one. Will also have a waterless spray on cleaner which you will need later.

    Quick wash + Dry

    Polish(Harshness depends on paint condition)

    Apply 1st coat of Zaino

24 hours later/next time you're free, use that spray to give the car a quick wipe down/clean with a microfiber cloth and apply the next coat should take in total about 20 mins.

Repeat last step if you like, I might leave it at 2 coats for now..

Sounds painful i know but remember once you've done this once it lasts up to 18months as in 12 months time, if the paint still looks in good condition just give it a wash and apply another layer! Unlike a wax which embeds dirt into the paint.

Hardest part of applying this stuff is restraint. I used about a quarter of a bottle in 2 coats... Making this about 8 times as cost effective as a natural wax. As i usually use half a bottle of that....

As you can see this guy reckons 30 coats to a Corvette so the D4 maybe 15.... This is where the restraint comes in :P

Ah nice one take it you've used clay bars before?? Pretty much if it's sticking as you wipe there's not enough cleaner on.

The applicator pad for Zaino is good as it doesn't absorb too much of the oil. You'll want something similar.

Only bummer is you don't get to see the final result until it's dry the next day!

Think i'm going to stick another layer on in 3-6months. Will take bugger all effort after a normal wash so why not.

Super easy all you're doing is spraying the cleaner on and running the bar over which extracts the contaminants. Another quick vid.

Seeing as you've washed the car the day before i just use the same spray with a cloth instead the next day to clean the dust off before the next coat of zaino.

I think I will look into this too but just a question on this step ....

Did your D4 have many scratches, particularly bush pinstripes?
I've picked up a few and have used the same polish after reading recommendations on here.
And it has worked very well but in the right light you still can see some of the scratches.
So should I keep going with perhaps more applications or harder buffing with the Auto Glym polish or accept some amount of scratching and move on to the other steps (Zaino etc)?

    Cheers,
