Not only that they hold their own weight without wind and have a massive coverage! If you don't need to koad up your roof.. Perfect

    A foxwing is 18.5kg...

I suppose you don't have a lot of weight to play with up there.

They're not made by Luke - he only sells them. The Rapid Wing is made in Australia by Supapeg. A very good awning. There were some great photos of one of them mounted on a D4 posted by Baz (Redback) some time ago, but the pics appear to be unavailable to view now.
    Cheers .........

From what I can tell the one on the DRIFTA website and in the DRIFTA videos seems to be different to the one on the Supapeg website (and in the Supapeg videos) in that the vertical poles are unclipped from the horizontals and hinge down. This means you can't lose the poles or forget to pack them, and that they are always ready for deploymment.

So I spoke with Supapeg the manufacturers for Drifta and who also sell the rapid wing themselves, which is the one i have, they have a new model called the "Rapidwing Deluxe" which is what Drifta show on their website. This model has the hinged poles with a clip that lets you fold down the legs rather than having to attach them yourself. It's possible to upgrade an existing system with some caveats; you have to shorten the horizontal supports and vertical poles, and cut out a little piece of canvas on the pockets around the horizontal supports so that the C clip will hold the folding pole in place properly when folded up, it's also a much tighter fit in the supplied awning bag. They're working up a price for the upgrade now.
