    Low fuel warning

    Hey guys

Is it normal for a D4 that my fuel level got all the way down to a range of 22km to go before the amber low fuel light came on?

Every car I have ever owned and specifically my land landrover (Fl2) the light came on with 100km to go, if I wasn't in Sydney at the time this could be a real issue.

Any idea how to recalibrate it?

Mine comes on at about 8l left so depending on my ave fuel consumption my range varies but it's usually around 80km - so working on that theory your ave consumption must be around 40l /100km - you may need to change your driving style Low fuel warning
    Probably worth looking into it.

The manual should tell you what litres should remain when the light comes on. I would guess it's more a case of the distance to empty is incorrect rather than you only had 3 ltrs left in the tank.

How much fuel did you put in to full ? This should give you a reasonable idea of how much was left in the tank.

    Cheers Ean

I've had this depending on what angle the vehicle has been sitting at with a low fuel volume.

    Hahaha!!!

Interestingly I've had the opposite issue - was once of the first things I used the GAP tool to sort. Passenger side always say marginally low...

Sorry gents, I was about to edit my message after I found it on google..

Not late but incorrect estimate for remaining kms then. Running average of 13/100 atm.
