I used a spray on wheel cleaner from Car Care Products for my D4 and Golf. The other tip is to swap to low dust pads. I use Hawk Performance ceramic or HPS pads which are ultra low dust. No black euro wheels for me.

Just bought the "wheely clean" product from AutObarn and on first use it seems very simple to use and certainly does a really good job. I will now explore some of Bowden's other products. I have been using Maguiars stuff to date. Couldn't find any of the wheel protector from Autoglym mentioned above but will keep an eye out for it.

I'll take this opportunity to thank Tombie and LandyAndy for all their valuable Posts. I have just ordered some GOE rims and will probably get the D697's in 265-60-18LT as they seem well recommended.

Viking... Take a look at the new TRED Pro... I crowd funded them.

    Really good bit of kit.
