    Wiring indicators to mirrors

I've purchased a second hand set of Clearview mirrors that have indicators whereas my D4 MY12 only has indicators in the door. Does anyone know the correct way to wire these mirror indicators to the door indicators so that they both work? The Clearview indicator wires are yellow and blue whereas the OEM door indicator wires are black and green with white stripe. see attached pics

Cheaper buying aftermarket equivalent on ebay. Those little badges to fill in where the indicators went retail at over $80 each at the dealer.

Mine are winging their way here as we speak.

Standard convention is Black is -ve (GND) and other color (Green w White trace) is +ve. See attached cut from wiring diagram. I would have thought ClearView would supply a wiring diagram for there end otherwise give them a call / email.

Thanks for clearing up which wire is positive. I bought these mirrors second hand and they came without any instructions. Fitting them hasn't been a problem but my D4 comes without mirror indicators so there is no wiring loom to plug into as these Clearview mirrors are actually for the HSE model. All of the mirror adjustments work okay so I could use them without indicators if need be. I've just written to Clearview to see if I can get wiring instructions for fitting these to an SE model so hopefully I'll hear back next week.

    Cheers

Trying to keep the vehicle so that I can easily replace the original mirrors when ready. Perhaps I might end up cutting the existing wires and fitting connectors to suit the Clearview mirror indicators. That will leave the D4 door indicators inoperative but easy to plug back in when I put the original mirrors back on.

Love the Dumbo comment! My thoughts exactly. I resisted this path for ages as I've been quite happy with the standard mirrors along with a rear view camera on the caravan as this allowed me to see behind and beside without any blind spots, that is, until it was pointed out to me that legally I had to be able to actually see the side of the van and the road behind with my mirrors. Busy getting the D4 and van ready for a long lap around the block where hopefully I wont have to pull in the ears just to get into the shopping centre carpark. When finished, I'll take the Dumbo's off and get back to normal.
