    oil system fault

Snow White got her second service today.
As fortune has it she threw her first fault code 10km before geting to the dealers.

She has to go back for an overnite stay when they get parts in,its a sump off job to fix.It has been re-set,not showing at the moment.

You may recall back when Aaron and I went to Horrocks Beach in January,I said I could hear a clunk from the left front. The dealer has reported "Lower control arm bush faulty, hydrabush requires new part".This will get done when the oil level sensor is replaced.

Andrew, I had that exact fault come up last year right at the start of our big cape trip on day 1 out of home. Just kept going and had it looked at on return.

No codes stored, no return of that fault message since and the oil level monitoring has been working fine as well.

Why do they say parts to replace if fault no longer showing ?

They have ordered a new sump sensor.
Im sure Ive read on here in the past its a measure "cup" that reports the oil level when parked and has a futher low level warning for when the engine is running.

One less thing that can go wrong with mine,as it has a dipstick.

    Nice and simple

Why do they have to overcomplicate things??

I guess because in general less and less people acutally open the bonnet of their cars.

Mine (also 2014, maybe a pattern here...) had the same error come up back in Kalbarri 3 months ago. I took a photo and cleared it as I didn't have much option for dealer investigation as we headed north. I got it once more in Broome a month later and cleared again. Now up to Katherine and getting into Darwin next week where it'll get a service, so will see what they recommend and post here.

In between getting the errors it's been working fine for getting oil level out of the service menu.
