    Maitland Transmission Services

Its time for the D4 to get its auto serviced and I am looking at taking it to Maitland Automatic Transmission Services up here in the Hunter. My question is, has anyone here had their Disco's auto serviced there and how was the experience?

If it was a good experience then please say so if it was a bad one then please pm me because of the 'no name and shame' rules the forum has.

Any feedback would be very much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Terry

I haven't tried Maitland auto services but if your going to Maitland I've tried Bob Hunt automatics. I had a FL1 auto repaired and a disco 2 torque converter rebuilt there. Always been good service

Sent from my GT-I9295 using AULRO mobile app
It doesn't leak oil, Its sweating power

Thanks for the feedback Woko, the reason I mentioned Maitland Auto Services is I vaguely remembered that another member had been there and had his auto done but I couldn't remember the outcome and also wondered if anyone else might have been there. Being in Nelson Bay Newcastle is closer but I have not heard of anyone getting their auto's serviced there so thought I would ask about the Maitland mob first up.
    Cheers,
    Terry

I recently had 4WD Industries do a changeover transfer case, and trans service on my D1.
They seem like good folks, and prompt service.
I think the managers name is Ben(??) and he seems like a nice bloke. Honest.
The (young) mechanic doing the physical work, was also helpful and reassuring. He showed me all the faults prior to me agreeing to get them done, but I would trust them to do it 'honestly' without needing confirmation if I had to do anything major again.

So while I only really chose them for the T/C changeover( + larger sump for it) and to do the auto service; they also changed the rear rubber donut shaped coupling and the main serpentine belt and idler pulley as matter for urgent attention .. considering I had over 1500klms to travel to get home!
The young mechanic was also reassuring in that overall the car is in pretty good order too.

So while I have no idea on anything other than an auto 300 Tdi D1, my comment is for the purpose of commenting on 4WD Industries service.
