Understood it was, but in this instance was checking that it was indeed what LRHybrid100 had done.

Thanks. Your details have been noted in case they are needed for future reference. :D :D :D
Same motor, as LR stopped using the 2.7 in preference of the higher priced 3.0 then Ford Australia picked up using the motor for the Territory.
The TDV8 was planned for the Ford F truck but the yanks wouldn't pay the extra purchase price compared to the V8 petrol. At the time of planning Ford still owned both Jag and Land Rover.
I'm still trying to find someone to build an ECU and wiring loom to be able to run the Tdv6 and ZF auto in a stand alone application, then I'd be installing this combo in all my LR toys!
I'm currently looking for a low K territory motor to do a replacement on my D3.
There are some previous posts up where others have done the transplant.
They report you change the sump, front pulleys and the HP fuel pump,(leave the injectors). Turbo is OK, need to change the aircon compressor.
The dip stick appears to only have one bolt hole to mount it.
Nothing written about the alternator or the starter interchangeability.
Have been offered a 45k 2.7 for $3000 complete, and have seen them asking $8000+ for <10k motors, and still I miss out.
So still looking.
Alternator is no use as its only a 2 wire whereas the Disco one is a 3 wire controlled by the ECU.
Starter motor is no use as Ford one does not travel long enough to hit the flexplate - Ford uses a different flexplate with about a 20mm spacer behind moving the flexplate away from the motor and more into the gearbox.
As for the HP fuel pump all depends on what year the D3 is - if its MY07+ then should be able to use the Ford pump, not 100% with this as mine is a MY06 with the previous style pump so I moved that over as I wasnt sure if the ECU would drive/recognise the higher pressure pump without errors.
Hope this helps!
Cheers LRH
