Must have tools for a D3/D4 (Fathers Day Support Group :D)

So, I am updating my tool kit with a few bits in readiness for the MOD Day on Sept 18 and thought it would be useful for those experienced ones amongst us to have a list of must have tools for the Disco life.

Of course we have the spares list as a sticky but it would be good to know what tools are essential to have in the drawer and with Fathers day coming up it could assist in also in making that an even more wonderful day for Dad!

22mm 6-sided socket for the wheel nuts.
Not a common size in most sets and don't get a 12-sided one.

    Torx set.
Plenty of these around the vehicle.

    Cheers,
    Scott

My most used are a good set of sidchrome side cutters, Snap On butane soldering iron (had for 9 years now and still going strong), Snap-on ratchet screw driver again nearly 10 years on still going and a Leatherman.

One tool box set should cover most of it....

I wouldn't carry all that though!!! Can be reduced to much less mass and space...

Driver and bits for Screw driver
    Compact hex set
Trim tools covered by a decent leatherman
Sockets - only about 6 sizes used so easy..
    Tape
    Gas Soldering Iron
    Cable ties
