Front LCA rear bush remover tool for loan! Central Coast NSW

Hi all, i have just completed the extraction and replacement of the rear bushes in my front lower control arms. It wasn't too bad! Apart from the weather.

You can read about it here if you want:
    Dan's D3

I bought a Laser Tool kit to do the bush extraction and installation. It allows you to leave the suspension arms on the car, and means you don't have to remove the halfshaft or the ball joint. It also means you don't need a press!

    Some photos of the kit

And in use extracting a bush

Now that I've finished it will just sit in the shed gathering dust until i need it again. So i figure it may be out to good use by fellow AULROians!

I live on the Central Coast of NSW so if you're in the area, or are happy to travel from Sydney/Newcastle, I am happy to lend you my tool! (No insunuation intended Front LCA rear bush remover tool for loan! Central Coast NSW )

I will require a bond to cover the cost of the tool in case it gets damaged, but apart from that it will be pay as you wish. I have had some great help from people here and I figure here's a chance to give something back!

I may also be able to help you on the tools, depending on what else I have on, but I'm not starting a workshop or anything - i just see it as an opportunity to meet some new people. And i don't mind working on cars, though preferably keep the rain away!

So if you're interested please drop me a PM for further details.

    Cheers

    Dan

I have the same set available for those in the Coffs/ Northern rivers, again for free and only a bond. I am also available with notice to help with throat oil as payment.

Feeling bored, want a drive to the sleepy sea side city of Whyalla?

I have a bushing press here as well...

    Onya fellas.
The bond is a good idea.Whats the tool worth????
I have tools out on loan that Ive leant out in good faith and never seen again.
My fault,I lend stuff out all the time relying on the people being honest.I should have written them on the white-board in the shed and even asked for a bond in hinsight. The borrowers were not all from here.
Best was on a New Years day.A 3.5 County limped into the Caltex Roadhouse then finally refused to go.The staff sent the couple here because I have Landys,Canadians in a borrowed vehicle. The fuel pump was dead.In no time I gigged a 5.0L Facet electronic pump into the fuel line and it fired up straight away. They wanted to pay me for the job and the part.
I wouldn't take any money, told them I just wanted my pump back on the return trip thru town.I knew this would come back as they were so relived.2 weeks later at the door to my shed was the pump, the fuel line,6 bottles of really nice south coast red wine and a letter with a business card.Turns out they own an adventure island in Canada where they do kayaking etc.Told us we were welcome to come and stay free of charge for saving their trip.
The pump worked well for over a week until an OEM pump could get fitted in Albany
    I do have out on loan,engine crane,7 years;heavy duty car ramps,8 years;brand new TD5 maf sensor,5 years,another breakdown fix;brand new TD5 top hose,yet another break down down the back;air chisel and die grinder(ex mate,has the crane too)

It was recently discussed setting up a tool loan area on AULRO,we as moderators in the end said not a good idea, too many people taking advantage of peoples genourosity. We decided to leave it to threads like this.
    ENJOY

Thanks Andy. And thanks to the others putting their tools up for loan. That's what makes this place so good!

What are the differences and/or relative merits between the units?
I think I read elsewhere that Tombie's one is suitable to do all bushes on the vehicle.

    Cheers,
    Scott

Tombies is definitely fancier, but as to the exact differences he will have to chime in there.

Lasertools also do bush removal kits for some, if not all of the other bushes. I'll check them out when i need new other bushes!
