    Service costs up to 130,000km

    Hello D4 owners

I am hopefully about to step into a D4

    The 8 sp one

I am doing the sums on owning and running

    I do about 30,000kms a year

I hope to buy one with extended warranty out to 3 years and a max of 40,000km on it

To allow me to be reasonably accurate in operating costs , other than ; reg , insurance, fuel and tyres, what else should I factor in please ?

For example , what are the servicing costs up to 130,000km ?

    Tyres ?

    Thx

    Pete

For simplicity I would assume 2 services per year at those km/yr, an "A" and "B"
For me (Brisbane) these would cost around $2,000 at the dealer.
I believe most other cities would be less, maybe 80% of that (?).
Just had the major done at 50k for $1,250
    Independent servicing costs significantly less.

For tyres here is a couple of examples of 4 tyres including fit/balance/alignment in Brisbane
    Maxxis 980 in 255/55/R19 $1,450
    BFG KO2 in 265/60/R18 $2,000
Always a hot topic around km achieved for a set of tyres, so I'll leave that to your judgement of usage etc.

    Cheers,
    Scott
