    brake lights stuck on

    G'day peoples,

I have just been playing around with the d3 and had to remove some wiring (uhf and winch) to get the grille off and now the brake lights are on all the time, even when the car is off. I have cleared all codes with my nanocom and even done a vehicle reset but all to no avail. The car is still driving fine with no faults coming up, does anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers

    Glen

Do you have a brake controller fitted? If so then It's worth unplugging and resetting. I had a combination of faults a few weeks ago with the brake lights staying on. Fitted a new brake switch and still had the problem until the brake controller was unplugged, reset and plugged back in and all back to normal.

If the brake switch is faulty you can get the identical version from Ford, considerably cheaper.

Disconnected the electric brakes and the lights came off so all good now. Thanks again for the advice. Thanks again also to Andrew
