Yep!Though could only afford a six speed, would go for an 8 speed if buying now.Only warning I have seen come up was for 'Low screen washer level'

    Thanks again for the input.

    Just one other question.........

The Disco that we are looking at has the tow bar receiver stowed in a rear passenger side compartment. As I wouldn't be able to use my HR WDH hitch I take it that I have to buy a Land Rover tongue? Or would a suitably weighted Hayman Reese tongue suit ok? Our latest van will have a DO35 hitch so wondering if the Discovery tongue has the wider diameter hole in the tongue that accommodates the DO35 pin??

Phew! Then its the electrics. I take it I can just use a a 12 pin adapter and plug into the Rover round plug? Given the van lights are LED I'm guessing I may need a patch lead as well??

    Hello..

D035 Pins are still 7/8" so fit as per normal tow balls.
A suitably rated tow Hitch will be fine, keep length as per LR to avoid issues...

Better still consider a Mitch Hitch - a higher mounted tow hitch mount.

The electrics are Easy... very easy.. I'm currently assembling the boxes to deal with the LED trailer lights.

Can also be built to go 12N and 12S into a 12 Pin.

    Barnie

The ride before my current D4 was a well sorted Wildtrak with suspension, tyres, etc.
Whilst I did not tow a caravan I do tow a big tandem, the D4 is a far superior tow tug.
The other consideration is the permanent 4x4, I used to find the Wildtrak very unstable on the Hume in the wet in the truck ruts when empty at 110.
    Cheers
