A suitably rated tow Hitch will be fine, keep length as per LR to avoid issues...

Better still consider a Mitch Hitch - a higher mounted tow hitch mount.

The electrics are Easy... very easy.. I'm currently assembling the boxes to deal with the LED trailer lights.

Can also be built to go 12N and 12S into a 12 Pin.
Tombie, our DO35 Pin actually requires a 11/4" hole. Its a 18-D-DO35-TP-WX pin.

From what you ae indicating a Disco traditionally requires a higher hitch than usual. Is that correct?

    Thanks in advance....

Ah ok - you've gone the larger version as they do a 7/8" shank as well.

With regard to Hitch height - many offroad vans find the stock D4 Hitch too low, and it also has a reputation as "the plough" for dragging on tracks.

The Mitch Hitch raises the receiver in line with the loop between the 2 plugs (it partially connected to that loop).

I then use a Rapid Hitch adjustable tow tongue to allow adjustment between boat, camper and normal trailer.

    You can see it here:

Many thanks Tombie. Very kind. I can see what you mean about hitch height. It still doesn't seem awfully high. Valuable stuff. Thanks again.........
