    Multiple Fault Codes!!!

Hi Guys, I have a question for the brains trust. I took my 2006 Disco 3 into the dealer today for a 202k service. After the service had been completed, I got a call from the dealer to say my hazard lights are going crazy and the car's trying to unlock constantly and it's thrown up multiple fault codes! After the service they ran it through a high powered car wash. The mechanics had the car plugged into their computer to try and diagnose the problem, with no joy. So I've had to leave the car there and luckily borrow a friends car for the 2 hour trip back home with the wife and 3 kids! Hopefully they can sort it out tomorrow and we can get our car back? I haven't had any thing like this happen before, so
any suggestions or ideas you guy's have would be muchly appreciated.
    Thanks Pete

    Hi mate,
That's no good hey. I wouldn't be surprised if its just got some water in somewhere it shouldn't be. The hazard lights and constantly trying to unlock would obviously be associated.
I'm not sure how this particular vehicle locking system works but could it be something as simple as the unlock button stuck in, and nothing to do with the wash down?
    Let us know the outcome.

I've seen the dealer here use a super high pressure. It cleans the wheels easy but can do so much damage so easily in untrained hands.

Possibly the ECU under the engine bay fuse box has got wet. Check out this post:

The hazards lights activating, and doors unlocking, sounds like a post-accident scenario.
Are there crash detection sensors in the front of D3s?

Yes I've found out the hard way a couple of years ago, when we had a battery leak and we flushed out the engine bay and stuffed the transfer case ECU and had to get it replaced. So that was one of my first questions to the dealer, but they said there is no sign of water anywhere there, or inside behind the glove box on that module.

I'll also tell the dealer about this, one can only hope it's something as simple as this! (Although being a Land Rover i won't be holding my breath. )

Thanks guys for your thoughts, I'll keep you posted.

    Your car is a Disco!
    Just add water

Mine dried out and never occurred again even after more deeper river crossings.
