Thread: D3 HSE 4.4 V8 Hunting ?

Hi all,
I have a v8 D3 and first thing in the morning when it is dead cold & I
drive it first up it seems to hunt at very low revs.
When doing about 50-60 km/h on a light throttle it will vary between
1200-1500 rpm with no input from the accelerator pedal, over 2000rpm no problem,once operating temp is reached the hunt goes away and stays away.
She has 140,000 kms,auto service 5000kms ago with no sign of burnt
oil & no nasty's in the oil.Full service history as well.


Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Steve,
I had this on my daughters car,
Took it to a dealer and all that was needed was a throttle body clean and an adjustment, $200 all it took.
May not be the same for your car, but it's a start.
Hope it works out well.
