Same as every winch cover I've seen. Mine faded within 3 months!

SupporterI thought I'd send a quick warning in case others were planning this..
When doing the upgrade from 2011 D4 to facelift D4 I changed the grey LAND ROVER bonnet letters to a set of gloss black DISCOVERY letters from PowerfulUK
Initially they looked great but not even 12 months later they are no longer glossy and are a dull black, I suppose they are just not cut out for the Aussie sun.
Considering the effort involved in changing the letters over I'd be very selective where you get the letters from, if buying online perhaps have them professionally sprayed before putting them on.

SupporterI've never found plasti dip to be very gloss
You can get a plasti dip glossifier.
I've never heard of it.. Googled it.. Pretty cool Stuff

SupporterI've used it on a few set of wheels, even with glossifier it's never the same as a paint job. It's good enough for wheels and surprisingly very long lasting but I doubt it would ever look good enough for the bonnet, happy to be proven wrong?

Other than plastidip with glossifier, what else might be a recommended solution to increase the longevity of these badges? Would it have to be a 2-pack pro job, or would a clearcoat from a rattle can do enough to protect them?

SupporterIve been offered a refund, but I will instead get powerful UK to mail me a new set, then have them professionally sprayed before putting them back on.
My suggestion, do it once, do it right.
It needs to be gloss to fit in with the car so don't waste time with plasti-dip.
Do they provide a template to get the letter spacing correct Luke ?
Cheers,
Scott
