Even "NEW" batteries can sometimes be the problem.

I recently replaced the batteries in both our keys, as they had not been replaced since our first trip across to Tassie, and the wife's key had started to play up occasionally. Purchased a pack of new batteries from Bunnings.

Within about a week of replacing the batteries, I started getting the "Key Fob Low Battery" warning on the dash every time I got into the car with my key.

So went out and bought another pack of new batteries and replaced it again - has been working OK since.
    Cheers .........

I have had hit and miss luck with the cheap knock offs. First would not program which was replaced. The replacement programmed OK with the IID tool but failed when I dropped it a year later.
