    Tree Sliders

Please can you point me in the direction of the member that has been fabricating disco4 tree/rock slides for some of you? All I remember is he owns a metal fabriction business and has done some for people on the site.

    Thanks.

    Slider options

    Hi there,

There are 3 options locally. Much info in these threads:
    A question on rocksliders
Just got my APT sliders installed

These are not necessarily current prices and both GOE and APT now have extra options with infill panels / plate under, but as a guide.
    APT - Ben - Brisbane - $920 plus postage ($110 to Sydney)
    GOE - Gordon - Perth - $1100 plus postage ($62 to Sydney)
    Metfit - Brad - Brisbane - $600 plus postage ($80 to Sydney)

If you are going to use them as rock sliders, go steel, the alloys ones cave in pretty easy as we found out on a trip recently

If you go with the steel APT sliders from Ben, you may want to consider getting the optional tread plate on them ( for additional cost ). Helps to use sliders as steps as well I find it stops/deflects some stones from flicking up on to doors and wheel arches.

Fitted mine on Sunday! APT ones...
New ones come standard with a full underside plate. So i didn't bother with the tread plates.

Love how easy they are to fit!

Think it took less than 2 hours without a hoist. 2 person job to pin them though.
