    See that's what I mean. Model differentiation is difficult for us new comers. I think it might be a TdV6 if it does not have electric seats. I am thinking it is a 2.7 litre turbo. Yet to figure out differences between Tdv6 & TDV6.

    I asked someone who advertised their car if the ad was correct because I saw 18" wheels and it was advertised as a SDV6 which are supposed to have 19" wheels - after questioning they came back to me and said no it wasn't what they advertised.

    Perhaps it's confusing for the owners as well.

    Yep! It's been covered elsewhere in this forum, but I'm just as confused as you! I think the nomenclature of TDV6 changed to SDV6 for the 3.0L dual turbo diesel during the 2010 to 2013 D4 model years.
    I think the TDV6 (2.7L single turbo) only came with the 6 speed gearbox. The SDV6 originally also came with the 6 speed gearbox, but at some stage around 2012 (I think, please feel free to correct me) the 8 speed gearbox was fitted.

    If your budget runs to it, try to find an SDV6 3.0L engine with the 8 speed gearbox. With low mileage, no DPF and with the colours and options you want. Oh! And for not much money!

    No. it's an SDV6 I think. Has leather seats (hundreds of 'em!). Well, 7. Now has three. But manual adjustment which I can live with. I assume it's a sort of base model.     I think SDV6 stands for Sequential Diesel whereas TDV6 is Turbo Diesel. Mine is SDV6 too and HSE is model, HSE is the top, SE the middle and TDV6 was the so called "poverty pack". As mentioned, if you can get an 8 speed it is better, mine is an 8 speed. I think the TDV6 was a 6 speed and 2.7 as opposed to 3.0 which was/is and 8 speed. From memory it changed in 2013 hence the confusion. If you can get the VIN you can look it upon TOPIX the LR repository of knowledge and you can see what it has etc.. Even though I bought an HSE there were still options I could have chosen such as the sun roof.

    You will find, certainly in the later models that the engine Specs for these are:

    TDV6 - 155Kw / 520Nm
    SDV6 - 183Kw / 600Nm

    Did the same in November of last year. From North Beaches as was the seller. Got him to drop it at Graeme Cooper they inspected it for me. Ended up getting it, a SDV6 2012.

    To clarify some more (or maybe confuse!), the MY10 models with 3L were called "3.0 TDV6 xxx" where xxx was the trim/spec level. Like this one:

    Same here, 2016 SDV6 HSE Nov 15 build, no DPF. We must have come out together on the same ship!
