    Hi flow diesel adaptor

About to travel again towing 21 foot van and find the newer servos not van friendly so forced to use the truckies lanes but seem to be all hi flow pumps and the larger nozzle. Tried all the searches, is there an adaptor in Oz on the market? or am I left to cutting up a funnel ?

Not necessary, don't be in a rush, just open the trigger slowly to get a flow rate that the filler neck can handle

2015 D4 probably the most amazing yet, why get a RR?

As Nicky said, the nozzle fits, you just use about half trigger to meet the cars flow capacity

Thanks for above . Will try again before departure. VW makes an adaptor for the hi flow nozzle overseas. Might enquire locally.

The filler neck is wide enough to take hi flow nozzles on a D2.

I actually increased the size of my breather after having some nightmare foaming issues especially out in the hot areas of the country where the fuel gets quite warm.

I am led to believe that the new diesel fuel coming into Australia now has anti-foaming properties.

    Just squeeze the lever judiciously.

On a side note, how did you do this? Did it solve the problem? I usually fill up using hiflow because of the 150l tank.

I use the high flow pumps in my D3 all the time. With the long range tank it takes upwards of 10-15 minutes to fill up on a normal bowser. I have no problems but do ensure it is fully in and do also start and finnish slow.

    On a D4 or just a D3?

DiscoJeffster, is that on a D4 or just on a D3? I briefly had a MY09 D3 and from memory I think the hi-flow would fit but not on my MY12 D4 (although I tried only once).

Mines a D4 and I've used a high flow. It doesn't go all the way in, but far enough to fill.

Slightly OT, but on a D4 3.0 can you use a filtering funnel without triggering the misfuelling device? If so, can anyone recommend a suitable funnel?
