Turning off rear parking sensors - 2016 D4 SE

Ok, I've looked everywhere and can't find a relevant thread. My rear parking sensors are maddening. I want to be able to turn them off, particularly when backing up the camper trailer, but can't find the button anywhere. The manual says it's in the row above the aircon control dial, but not on my car.
I originally thought that they'd turn off automatically when a trailer was hooked up, but that may not be the case since the car was re-wired with a 12-pin socket to replace the OEM one. They certainly fire up with little provocation now.

Any chance of a photo of the dash/console area? May help to id the correct button if you're missing it. Years of IT work cause me to ask the insulting questions - sorry.

The MY 14 onwards doesn't have the button.
The volume knob for the juke box is your friend.OR you need a pulse buster box,or a resistor on the indicator wire,or when you are olde enough like ATH,remove the batteries from your hearing aids

IMG_0206.jpgIMG_0207.jpgOkay, here's a photo of the dash, and from the relevant page in the manual...curiously, the photos were up the right way when uploaded, and now appear upside down. But you get the picture:-)

The Rangie had a big button on the dash, so it was easy. Can't find anything on the Disco. Haven't 'graduated' to hearing aids yet Andrew:-)

Install ballast resistors to the trailer indicator wiring to trigger the car to know the trailer is there and disable them. See the trailer sticky for more info. Aside from that scenario, as mentioned, I believe when they're beeping you can turn them down with the audio volume to set their level. I have a button (ner ner Turning off rear parking sensors - 2016 D4 SE)

    Greg.
Do you tow multiple LED trailers??? Its the LED's that cause your problem.
If you tow multiple trailers its best to convert the D4.
You need to put a resistor on a indicator line in the rear compartment,it needs to be have a switch so it can be active or inactive. This lets the D4 know its got a trailer back there. It does different things to the electronics, including that bloody noise!!!!Or the pulse busta box will do the same.
Now,you had your wiring done by olde mate in Osborne park,he would be on top of this.Is there a new switch in the rear cargo area??? That would be the resistor switch.Give him a call and see if he did it.

Supposedly also selects a towing gearbox profile as well when it detects a trailer, though I'm not sure I've seen written evidence from LR on it, or noticed much difference to be honest.
