    Hi Guys,

I posted the below in the Technical Chatter section. If someone on here could help me out I would be grateful.

    Sorted it out:

    Bottom +

    Kind Regards

I don't have an ARB fridge, Mine are Engel and Primus But I have converted both of mine to Anderson plugs because the cigar lighter type connectors are bloody useless.
What colour are the wires in the ARB cord?

Okay this is a dead easy fix.
Have a look on the Anderson plug and it will show which connector is + and which is - , Just crimp the connectors that come with the Anderson plug onto the wires then push them into their correct positions on the Anderson plug.

When I cut the cigar lighter plugs off my fridge cords I left a length of wiring on the plug so that I could put an Anderson plug on it, Just in case I have to use the cigar lighter plug instead of the Anderson plug.

I use merit plugs, they are very good, but won't take the current of an Anderson plug.

But make sure you use a Narva quality product, not a cheapie from Jaycar

Merit plugs are fine for fridges, camping lights, etc, they are generally rated up to 15A at 12V.
