There's a ridge worn into the pin and no doubt miles of corrugations are too blame for that. I'll need to repair or replace that soon.

thanks AlanH it looks fairly straight forward, will keep an eye on the pin as we generally do a lot of outback travel. While the bumper is off I have removed the white plug and replacing it with an Anderson plug, make access sooo much easier. My only concern going forward is how much of the rear vision will be obscured.

Rear vision is definitely affected especially if you're using the camera when reversing to check what is coming along from the right hand side. I thought about refitting the camera to the top rear light (if that's possible) but haven't investigated yet as it appears the light is not removable unless it's smashed. That's what I've read has to be done but haven't checked.
What penny pinching turkey at LR thought of that one? Might be easier on assembly to just bung some goo to stick it on with but no good at all for those wanting to do simple maintenance like fit a new globe/bulb.

Hmm, the rear view camera may be one of those things I have to live with. I really like the tow ball view function when hooking up.

Nearly there, have been sidetracked with a few other things today. All I have to do is punch the holes for the latch and we are done.

    Well pretty much

Tow ball rear camera view is not affected. Apart from being well designed and straightforward to fit with good instructions, the Rijidij carrier does not impede the rear right light cluster, so you don't need to worry about fitting an extra tail light assembly.

Thanks DieselSE the tail light issue is the prime reason I went with the rijidij design. As mentioned the instructions are very good.

Yes the fact it clears the rear lights in good and yes again, it doesn't affect the downward view to the tow hitch.
