OA rear wheel caddy on 2008 D3.

For those who may have put a OA/OL rear wheel carrier on, what's the best way to get power to the extra indicator/brake/tail light?

    TIA

Easiest way is to pick up the wiring on the back of the black towing plug on the rear of the vehicle and run the wiring behind the bumper.

Many thanks sir. With a LRA tank in it, access to that spot is problematic. Would the use of the right hand cluster wiring be an issue?

I have the LRA tank. I picked up the power from the tail light and ran the wire out through the gap between the light and the rear bar. Simple.

Thanks. Does the LED lamp get "interfered with" by this connection? The reason for the question is that D3s aren't friendly towards trailer leds without load resistor packs.

    Update

I used the right hand tail light cluster loom to pick up the necessary feeds.

Works perfectly - no interference with led lamps.

    Thanks for the advice, gents.
