I have one leaking Hydra bush on the front RH LCA. Anyone had one of these replaced under the LR/Allianz extended vehicle warranty? Vehicle is 37 months old and done 98,000km.
Thanks.
Cheers Baz.

Hi Chris,
An interesting question this. One would assume using common sense (I'm sure you can see where this is leading) that for the most part, items that would normally be covered under the initial factory warranty would also be covered under extended warranty. I'm sure many of us have had these bushes replaced under the initial factory warranty - I have. But since this is insurance, different rules apply. I had a look at the exclusions in the policy document for the extended warranty.
"What is not covered"
20. The following components: spark plugs and leads, glow plugs, belts (including timing belts), filters, flexible hoses, any bushes, dampeners or mounting devices, CV boots, shock absorbers, strut inserts,
suspension bushes, brake linings, brake pads, disc rotors, drums and/or disc and drum machining, clutch linings, pressure plate and release bearing, batteries (including electric or hybrid vehicle batteries and power cells), incandescent globes.
I agree it's worth asking the question though, especially since you're just a month out of factory warranty.
Good luck!
David

I had my front bushes replaced under the extended LR/Allianz warranty. Car had a bit over 55,000km and was about 4 years old so less km than you but a bit older. It's a 2012 HSE. Took the line that yes they are replaceable but 55,000km is too soon for it to be happening. Claim went through with no issues.
I had the front LCA bushes covered under Allianz extended warranty as well, and also had a friend who got had it covered under Allianz extended warranty (from whom I heard it from).
The Land Rover dealer said it wasn't covered, so I went to the same place as my friend and they put in the claim and it was approved. Allianz wouldn't approve new LCA's, but the mechanic wasn't happy with the result after replacing the bushes, so somehow they just put the new LCA's in and I can't remember whether I had to pay a very small incremental cost or not.
No go. Kms was the killer.
They have quoted me $1300ish to replace both LCAs, which I think is quite reasonable given they are abt $450 each in parts plus wheel alignment.
That's a shame mate. Probably understandable given the km's but would have been great for you to have gotten a win!
