Can the Gap IID tool be used to disable TPMS?

Hi all - my IID Tool arrived yesterday

I'm keen to disable the TPMS for reasons that it's generally crap (and when I swap wheels to my Compo's TPMS transmitters are not fitted anyway)

Plus recently I think it's been false-alarming (no fault codes tho)

    Advice?

    Peace
    Brian

Hi Brian, even though the TPMS isn't very sophisticated I quite like it as it has saved me a couple of times when I had a leak. I've only had a couple of false alarms in 4 years and they usually flash up and go again very quickly.
My biggest complaints are that when I set it for heavy load it always seems to revert back to light load after a while and when you deflate for sand it alarms continuously as heavy and light load are the only pressure settings.

When I run my spare wheels without transmitters it doesn't cause any problems.

You can buy new transmitters relatively cheaply from ebay just make sure you get the correct frequency.

I haven't looked at turning it off using the IID Tool but I will have a quick look today. I have tried to turn off the front parking sensors without success.
