I dont know what happens at the 105k service, but my indy mechanic will do oils and filters for under $450. $1100 seems like a lot but it depends on what they're doing.
I would ask the dealer for a list of whats involved, or get a second quote.
just had a quoted price of $1100. is it a major service? and what would you expect to be done from the LR dealership.
cant just be oil, air and fuel filters. just priced the oil,,,liquid gold
it's my first owner service for the girl. love driving her.
thanks in advance.

The service schedule items are listed below. Presumably this will be a 'B' service - 64,000 miles. (I've attached a pdf version below too in case this pic isn't clear).

Dealer labour for that B service seems to sit at around $450-500 and to give you an idea on some of the consumables pricing:

I'm no expert but I think they pad it out a bit, just in case... but it does sound slightly high (even for a dealer).

SubscriberI love that they charge $126.99 for a charcoal cabin filter that aftermarket is around $30 at most.
Plug oil drain each service but I bet they use extraction so plug not used.
Consumables $25. What, a rag?
Gets up my goat.

Yes. Agree.
I know I don't need to think like this and I can take it anywhere I like but with the car under warranty (and now extended warranty as of tomorrow), it has only ever been serviced at the same dealership.
Perhaps delusionally I hope this reduces any wiggle room and maybe even might see me benefit from loyalty coming my way if a nasty crunch (read large and / or contentious issue) comes along.
I'd certainly acknowledge that I'm paying a lot extra for this perceived peace of mind though.

Had a few good talks with the service guy at Rovertech, which made up my mind to buy the D3.Couldn't afford a D4.
Even talked about customer cars that were up for sale, but had too many k's on them for me.
I booked it into the dealer, as since the car has been in Perth for most of it's life and serviced by Alfs, north of the river and the whole service history was transferred over. I'm going to get printed copies of these and keep with the car.
Rovertech next.
I guess it's going to be a B service.
