    Seems Like Someone Has Been Here Before Me

    Whilst investigating whether or not I have a sub woofer (which I now know I do) it turns out that someone has been into my tailgate before me. Looks like the dreaded actuator failure that can plague these cars happened to a previous owner. By the look of the hacked up membrane, it looks like it might not have been Land Rover that performed the repair! I'll still fit a manual release to the mechanism in the near future. At least I know now how easy it is to open up to get access to (with the mechanism still working of course - famous last words???).

    Thanks, a reminder of another job I need to do, along with fit emergency air up kit. Both I've been delaying, it really is true, the consequences need to be both certain and soon for action.

    Shame you're on the other side of the country, I have the air up kit to do too!! We could have had a working bee together!! As far as the manual release is concerned, the following (in my opinion) is one of the best and most comprehensively written up mods I've seen. There's even downloadable PDF provided by LRD414 (Scott).

    Yes shame, would be good to do together.
