    No worries, it's all good.
BTW I hid a second battery (big AGM) on its side under the rear of the drawers, reached by folding down the rear seats. I fitted some plugs under there too. It has worked well. Just a thought for you.

been busy and modded the draws to make them more suited to my needs and thought i'd better post some of my ideas

for easy removal of the draws I installed nutsets

The brackets for the sides are held in place with wing nut bolts so i can remove them making it easier to pull the the whole lot out of the vehicle in order to use the rear seats, if the need ever arrives. Have also removed the left side slide as it's not very good and allows stuff to fall into the draw, i have ordered slides and will be making up my own fridge slide like i have in my triton

    Hi Strop,
Planning on doing similar to mine, though Supercentre does not seem to have Prado listed. Can you advise on what size you bought as I am looking at the 1070mm version.
    Cheers

    No worries,
I reckon I could fit the bigger 1070mm drawers. They recommend the 900 mm drawers for the Prado apparently after speaking to someone else. My measurements indicate the 107mm will fit and ther wont be that small gap at the back. Will measure and measure again before I actually buy. My son has a set of the 900mm in his D2 so might try them first.
    Cheers

As a comparison I just built a 2 drawer unit for a GU using 17mm film faced ply. The drawers are 900x290x450 and the top is full width and full depth to the back of the 2nd row seats..with a pocket at the rear of the drawer backs for loose items.. ..fills in the space cause by the seat back angle. There's also two side pockets with the LH one big enuf to take two guns.

Cost was approx 400 bucks for 2 sheets ply, 900mmx90kg drawer slides. screws. bolts. carpet glue. latches. aluminium angle/sheet etc. Thanks Bunnies.

I have zero wood skills but ply is easy to use requiring a rip saw (thanks Dad) srew driver and angle grinder. Took 2 days approx to build and weighs about 60kg. We have a v heavy fridge slide so no need for a sliding top like Titan.

So....for a bit of effort we have a larger top shelf and drawers than the Titan unit. Having said that the Titan units are amazing value given their size and relative ease of installation. Thanks China☺

    Hey Laurie,
Made a mistake in sizes. There are 2 sizes 1070mm wide x 990mm deep and 1000mm wide x 900 deep. I think if I go the 1070 I can make it fit but will lose the wings and storage under these and have to lift the whole thing higher. The 1000mm wide ones I can retain additional storage under the wings. My son has the 1000mm x 900mm in his D2 so will rip that out and test for size.
    Cheers

OK, Part way through doing this. Issue I have is there is no space between the seats to even get a 1/4 extension bar between the seats as the plastic parts of the seat are right where the bar needs to go and only a couple of mm of gap. Looks like will be a Rijidij rear wheel carrier when funds allow. Have worked out that the support rails underneath can be moved to line up with the tie down point so securing wont be an issue. Ones near mid seats have holes drilled already. One closer to the back of the car have one set of holes drilled but require 4 holes to be drilled toward the front of the drawers (rear of car). Then space this rail a little with washers or aluminium flat bar and a 20mm piece of aluminium at the front, so as previously shown allows the drawers to clear the tailgate. Project ongoing. Just need to get a set of wings now.

The 1/4 extension bar will fit if you take the two plastic covers off the third row seat legs, they are held in with 2 torx screws
