    ARB & OL bullbar prices

    hi all,

Just pricing up some D4 bullbar prices, may help others out. for your information.

Opp Lock steel bullbar black $2150 installed, colour $450 extra, $1600 bar only

ARB Deluxe steel winch bullbar black $2530 installed, colour $250 extra, $2090 bar only

ARB Summit steel winch bullbar black, $2298 bar only

Sales person for ARB said they will eventually only be selling the summit bars replacing the deluxe bars over time. On some 4wd you can only get the summit bars these days. D4 have a choice still.

The install prices are heavily subsidised also. It's not a particularly quick job fitting a bar to a D4.

Can anyone tell me the overall changes to the length of the vehicle with one of the above bars fitted?

Things are tight in my garage, I have two inches either side of the mirrors (no power fold either!) plus I had to take my roof racks off because I kept forgetting to lower the car first so I'd rather not have a length issue as well if I can help it

Interesting question. I have the luxury of having my car - sans bar - and a friend's- with OL bar- here in the office carpark to compare. Without doing it properly and measuring the cars one end to the other, which I didn't setup, it is slightly tricky as the most forward point moves from the centre of the original bumper to the bumpers below the uprights on the OL bar.

Bumpers on the OL bar measured from base of grill and original bumper measured from about the same point pictured below.. but most forward point on original bumper is 30-40mm forward of that point because of the curve.

    So very roughly, 195-(55+35) = ~105mm longer.

That's pretty close to the measurements I took when I had the bar fitted to mine. The vehicle was spending much of its life parked in a couple of tight underground carparks in Perth at the time, and overall length was a bit of an issue for me too.

I have one of the older style ARB Deluxe winch bars on mine - it added ~ 100mm to the overall length of the vehicle.

The spare wheel carrier I had fitted not long after added more length than the bullbar did.
    Cheers .........

The Deluxe bar does not fit the post facelift D4 (2014 and on from memory). My guess is the Summit bar is not backward compatible to pre 2014 models.

Correct AndrewM. Pre-2014 is deluxe and post is summit and neither twain shall meet :-)
Which is where I want summit on 2010. Ah well.

    Summit bullbar length

Sorry to revive an old thread - have done a big search on the web and still don't have an answer. Does anyone have the total vehicle length with the ARB summit bullbar installed? (I rang ARB - even they are not sure!). Would be greatly appreciated if possible - don't have access to my new to me 2014 discovery and need to arrange vehicle transport (and confirm less than 5m).

I just run a tape over mine (ARB Bar) and the total length was 4950mm.
