Only option other than a factory retro fit is the ARB Airlocker.
Not cheap, if only for the beach I'd be letting my tyres down more rather than fitting a locker!
Hi,
toying with putting in a rear locker to the D3 as the diff is getting warn. I'm not looking for hard core capability just a little less effort on the engine when driving over the sand dunes and down the beach with the family.
Mine is the standard open diff, so I figured I would ask to see what experience others have had with their aftermarket lockers and with hind-sight would they do the same again considering; performance improvement, cost of installation, cost of maintenance, ect.

Yes as per Rich, not sure a locker will give you much extra advantage on the beach over just lower tyre pressures, particularly considering the cost of the only options you have.
