						SubscriberHowdy all
I'm about to go on the GOE tour of the CSR and was arranging a 6th tyre as a spare after receiving my new rim from Gordon. My local T mart dealer says there are no Bridgestone Dueller D697 265x60x18 tyres in any of their store nor at the Bridgestone warehouse so therefore it will be a long (too long) delivery time. He did offer to put a different tyre on as a loan which I thought was a nice offer but if I use it he may want me to buy it and therefore I would end up with a different tyre in the set. I've had a brief look at various online stores but there doesn't seem to be any stock or it's a high price.
I'm enquiring if anyone has;
1. a new tyre for sale ($320 is the dealer price)
2. loan me their 18" spare for about 2 weeks
3. Know where I can get one in Perth
4. some other solution I haven't thought of
thanks in advance

Have a look on the "Land Rover Parts, Accessories & Rigs WA" or "WA Discovery Defender 4X4" facebook pages - there are some on there

I'm also booked to do Gordon's CSR "Tag Along" tour and also have GOE rims. I got my D697's rims through Tyre Sales last month, which took just over a week to get to Perth. I just checked and can see they don't have any stock now either. Must be all those Compomotive rims that arrived recently. I am trying hard to get prepared for the adventure and just installed my Traxide system last weekend along with a UHF radio and it all seems to be going well. I still have lots to do including working out how to fit a sand flag to the roof rack, how to fix my jerry can holders to the roof rack and deciding if a water bladder inside the Disco is the way to go. Anyway looking forward to the trip and meeting you too, Rod.

						SubscriberHi Peter, yes looking forward to the trip myself. Love the desert. If you are setting up your car for a first time outback trip I maybe able to help with some ideas if you like. PM me if required.
I've actually tracked down a tyre in Perth and I'm having it fitted today, so Roger, may not need your kind assistance after all but will confirm that with PM after fitting has been concluded.

Yes Rod you're quite correct, I am setting the car up for our first big outback trip. We have did spend time in Karijini last year but we have never done any extended days of driving on tracks such as this. Many thanks for your offer of help, I will PM you if I need to.
Peter
