D4 Squealing Handbrake - Calibration Problems

Hi there, has anyone had (and resolved) calibration problems with a replacement D4 electric handbrake? I'm well aware of the systemic problems with this part, having experienced them over the years, but all of my previous problems have been limited to a build up of dust, etc in the drums. In this case, we had the whole unit replaced (6yo vehicle, 160,000ks) and then had successive problems calibrating it. The symptom is that, on a steep sloping driveway (or steep hill climb on a hard 4wd track in the Blueies) hand brake won't release, howls like a banshee, and requires a manual cable release (under the front drink holders) to get out of trouble. Ideas???

Hi mate, I've just moved this thread over to the D3/D4 section - you'll get more traffic looking at a specific D4 problem here and more likely a faster response.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
