    Unknown Sound.

I know I am going mad but....

When I unlock the D4 and open the door I hear a quiet chime. I also hear it occasionally as I am driving along.

Looked in the manual no idea what it is. Have turned off all electrical accessories, phones etc.

Can anyone tell me what it is please.
    All the best,

    Laurie

Found - nothing to do with car. I found a tricky little camera that was making the noise I had forgotten about.

I was driving a work car years ago and kept hearing a chime occasionally. Took 2 months to catch a warning light low on the console. The culprit was a front passenger seat belt alarm. I had my carry bag on the seat and under certain conditions, usually going around a corner, it must have had enough weight for the alarm to be triggered.

    Drove me nuts.

Martin. Defensive driving advice. Never place a bag on the passengers seat. In a sudden braking manoeuvre, you’re likely to reach out to stop the bag sliding forward, risking your ability to pilot the car. Something taught to me many years ago in some advanced driver training.

Very good advice. Done that very thing quite a few of times.

Who said you're too old to learn.

D3 also has this feature and unexpected bing-bong from time to time
