				hi all,
just wanted to pass on my recent experience with upsizing to bigger tyres for better ground clearance. decided on the hankook tyres and had all 5 fitted. problem was the spare fitting in its original location (in the rear under the car). i did look up GOE who suggested these tyres would fit and they do BUT in my experience the spare struggles to fit. I have a mitch hitch fitted which is shorter then the original LR hitch (from the rear). I think if you tried with an original hitch it may not fit at all. the only solution was to install the spare with no air. luckily i have an arb on board air compressor to pump up when i need the spare, but what if the compressor is no good, i have a useless spare with no air. future note to myself is drop back to a better size tyre. tyre was inflated by tyre outlet to 38 psi. so what have others done with this size tyre mounted underneath as a spare. not sure if removing the heat shield in that area would help or be wise. other option would have to be a rear mounted wheel carrier. thx

Apparently if you deflate the tyre it will fit without taking the shield off, how much I don't know we have carriers, try it yourself maybe if no one replies about it, let air out until it fits.
