    Noisy AMK Compressor

I have an upgraded AMK compressor in my D3 which is probably now about 3 years old and it suddenly started being quite noisy after a day on the beach. (I also have one of Gordon’s compressor guard plates)

anyone had problems with the newer compressors yet?

seems to be performing fine and I’m not getting raising slowly messages etc just noisy.

May well be just sand between guard and cover or even inside cover.
Have you hosed out and/or removed guard.

Yes very likely full of sand.... get onto it asap as it won't help keep it cool....

Definitely worth doing. I pulled mine off when I put my sliders on. Amazing what accumulates in there...

Yep, that was what it looked like inside my cover as well. Cleaned it all out and so far it seems to have solved the issue. Thanks everyone.

If you have a guard add some extra holes to help it drain away..
