    Roof Rail Weather Strip

    Hi All,

Can someone let me know what the Part number is for the black weather strip that sits in the roof rail channel? Its the flat piece that sit in the channel in lieu of the factory rails.

Even better, if someone has a pair they are willing to sell or knows where i could pick a set up as opposed to a LR dealer.

    Cheers
    Brad

Long versions are LR018079 (RHS) and LR018081 (LHS)

LR Description is WEATHERSTRIP, SATIN BLACK, xH (L/R), LONG, LESS ROOF RACK

I’d be willing to swap a set for extended roof rails, I’m charitable like that

:-) I'd happily hand over mine too, except for 2 problems:
    1. Even when you fit extended rails you have to keep the front section of the channel cover strip by cutting it off; and
    2. I threw them out.

Brad - might be difficult to rustle these up from someone else because IIRC even if someone has fitted something like the Rhino backbone (Rhino Backbone), the channel cover usually remains in place so people with racks will either have kept the channel or it will have been cut.

The reason is I have lost/been taken the front piece that curves down the roof. Also, I am thinking of changing my roof tray to a Front Runner one; so i might need some infill pieces.

    Thanks

Hi Brad, not sure if this will help but it does look like you can buy just the front shorter weatherstrip (in 2 different lengths), for when short rails are fitted. See pic below.

G'day Brad. Might not be much help to you in Sydney but I bought a pair 2nd hand from Triumph Rover Spares here in Adelaide a few weeks ago. Cost was $55 each. I know they can send interstate but probably be cheaper buying new locally. Cheers, Jock.
